What Walmart does in ChatGPT
The Walmart plugin lets you shop Walmart's range from inside ChatGPT. Its listing sums it up as everyday low prices and gives two kinds of request: help working out what to buy for an activity, and searching for a specific type of product.
In the first example, someone planning a trip to Yosemite asks what to buy, so it can turn a plan into a set of products. In the second, someone looks for Samsung 4K TVs, which shows it can search by brand and product type.
The listing is short. It does not say whether you can check out in ChatGPT, see store stock, use a Walmart account or choose pickup or delivery. Expect help finding products in the chat, and check the Walmart site for anything beyond that.
