What Edmunds does in ChatGPT
The Edmunds plugin helps you find out what your car is worth and get cash offers for it from ChatGPT. You share the VIN or the vehicle details, add the mileage and condition, and Edmunds comes back with offers from buyers that you can actually redeem, not just an estimate.
Offers come from competing buyers such as CarMax and EchoPark, and you can get up to three of them to compare side by side. That makes it useful for checking a trade-in value before visiting a dealer or for selling a car quickly online.
When no offers are available, Edmunds gives its True Market Value instead, an estimate based on real sales data. There is no obligation to sell. The listing points to Edmunds' long history in the car market as the basis for its pricing.
