What Etsy does in ChatGPT
The Etsy plugin brings the Etsy marketplace into ChatGPT. Etsy is a market made up of independent sellers, and the plugin lets you ask for product ideas in plain words, such as a gift for friends who just moved, and see matching items from those sellers without opening the site first.
It can also help you decide. If you have a few options in mind, for example several mugs, you can ask ChatGPT to weigh them up with you. The answers are written by ChatGPT, so treat them as a starting point and check the item yourself before you buy.
Details such as warnings, disclaimers and return policies live on each item's own Etsy page, and that is also where you report a listing. Connecting the plugin means you accept Etsy's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, according to the listing.
