What Needle does in ChatGPT
The Needle plugin connects ChatGPT to Needle, a customer discovery platform for founders and go-to-market teams. Needle searches public conversations on Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub, Stack Overflow, X and other sites, and ranks threads by how ready people seem to buy and by the tone of what they say.
On the platform itself you can find people already talking about your product, comparing it with others or asking for something like it, and get digest alerts when new matches show up. Those are features of Needle, not necessarily of the ChatGPT app.
The listing says the ChatGPT app is narrower. It gives you access to your general business information, such as your website and contact email address, and lets you get in touch with the Needle team. Treat it as a small companion to the main product.
